If anybody wants the recovery DVD copy I'll be able to provide after my installation. I have the same situation, I am unable to install Vista with a set of Sony OEM recovery disks, and get error 403 when I try the process. Nothing wrong with your recovery discs. Maybe it's some kind of HDD and SATA controller incompatibility? Most software programs are stored in the C drive of your laptop. If user does not have the correct recovery discs for the model but the Hard Disk Drive recovery partition is still operational, please perform an F10 recovery and create new recovery discs.
